Guest guest
Well, no heartbeat on doppler, but we had the mini mini ultrasound, and you could see the little itty bitty flutter of a heart beating really fast. So, it looks good. No tech doing the ultrasound, just the nurse, and for a second it looked like there might be two babies, but couldn't get the right angle. This was a really really crappy little machine, so who knows. Dr wouldn't come look at it, he says, well, we'll find out when we do the U/S at 20 weeks. Ok, needless to say, I don't like my Dr. He wasn't worried about no heartbeat, said you have all the signs, m/s, tender breasts, so this is a viable pregnancy. He didn't even really look at my chart, you could tell when he was like, oh, I thought you were 12 weeks. oh, he just rubbed me the wrong way. I got more from his nurse than I did from him. We'll see. Just thought I'd update. Kris EDD 12/27/
Guest guest
I am glad you got to see the heartbeat to ease your mind but I would consider changing docs already if he is going to be like that. You need a doc that will be a bit more attentive when you need him. Good Luck. God Bless, Robin, NorthEastern, NY Age- 41 EDD- July 27th, 2004 IT'S A BOY!!!!!! Guest guest
Kris, Can you get a different doctor? If you are having those feelings now that is a sign thatyou are not completely comfortable with him. You need to trust your doc 100% and feel like you are his #1 patient and in my opinion he is not giving you what you deserve from a doctor. there are plenty of good doctoprs out there no need to stay with him if you can move on this early. I would not go back to himafter being blown off like that - it may not be much to him but it is the world to you. - Diane > Well, no heartbeat on doppler, but we had the mini mini ultrasound, > and you could see the little itty bitty flutter of a heart beating > really fast. Guest guest
HI Kris, I am so glad you got to see the heartbeat, it was definately reasuring for me to see it as well ( last thursday) and funny thing the spotting I was having stopped right after ! hopefully it will stay stopped How disapointing though to have a Dr that does not seem to care My Dr is pretty Clinical not a super warm person but she is Thurough and she even did the ultrasound her self. and all the examination. She has a nurse practitioner but she will not let her check patients when they are bleeding or having any troubles with their pregnancy. The first OB i had I seen his Nurse practitioner more than I did him . And I did not like him at all either. Any way you can start seeing another Dr ? Well again I am glad you got to see the Heartbeat despite the crummy experience. Guest guest
Hi Kris. I agree with the other posts: definitely go with your INTUITION. We need supportive docs esp during this time. He sounds way too clinically dispassionate. WlsMomma EDD 12/20/04 PS I've read a few posts where doc changing was mentioned; it sounds pretty common. > Well, no heartbeat on doppler, but we had the mini mini ultrasound, > and you could see the little itty bitty flutter of a heart beating > really fast.
