Guest guest
Hi you all, I'm new here. I have an 8 yr old son (Luke) who has RSS and has been on GH for 3 years. First of all I must say that both me and my husband are extremely tall and so is our daughter. My son however was very tiny at age 5, only 3' tall. So we decided to start GH hoping that it would add some inches on him. The results have really been beyond our hope. In 3 years he grew no less than 18 " and he's now 4'6 " . That's actually tall for his age. His dramatic growth is most visible compared to the two neighbour boys who are both very small for their age (non-RSS though). The one is 9 the other 12 (1 and 4 years older than luke). Three years ago Luke was almost a head shorter than the youngest, two heads smaller than the oldest. Now the youngest is below his nose and he's the same height as the oldest. The parents of the boys aren't worried at all! Hope to get to know some of you better. Guest guest
What is your name? My daughter is 8 like Luke, and my husband is 6'4 " tall although I am only 5'4 " . Definitely contributes to their success on GH. Do you ever feel almost this " out of body experience " when you look at Luke now with friends, and think " how did he get so tall? " And so many of our friends now have forgotten just how small was at age 5 (she like Luke was 37 " tall at 5 yrs of age and 27 lbs). Now she is 4' 4 inches tall and 52 pounds in 3 years. One difficult thing I never thought I would experience though is at the MAGIC convention, when some people say quizzically when they see " oh, she can't be RSS. " It makes me fell so, gosh, I don't know, defensive??? I mean, I am glad she is tall now, but she still has all the same issues that other RSS kids have -- she is just taller now. Does Luke remember being short? doesn't really remember, although she does remember being treated younger. She tells stories of people thinking she was 3 instead of 5, and thinking she was her friend Devon's little sister instead of her friend, etc. Write back! My name is and we live in southern california. Maybe could write Luke an email? > Hi you all, > > I'm new here. I have an 8 yr old son (Luke) who has RSS and has been > on GH for 3 years. Guest guest
Hi, Oh my daughter is called as wel! She's 10 years old (non-RSS and SUPER tall). can certainly mail Luke. He doesn't have his own email address at the moment but she can send it to my address. It amazes me every day to see Luke so tall compared to his friends. Only 3 years ago all the kids in his class were at least a head taller, now he's the tallest boy. It seems almost unreal. He does remember he used to be small, but it's starting to become a distant memory. He remembers he used to lose in sports against the neighbour boys, while now he can win. Besides height he also gained a lot in strength! One expensive side effect is that I used to get lots of hand me downs from the neighbours. Now they're going in the other direction. You can imagine, I don't mind this at all! Kate > > Hi you all, > > > > I'm new here. I have an 8 yr old son (Luke) who has RSS and has > been > > on GH for 3 years.
