Guest guest
Just curious to know if anyone else had an abnormal glucose reading when doing their 1 hour? My OBGYN told me that mine was high at 153. Since then, the last couple of days I have been monitering it and it has been in the 70's and 80's, one time it was 94 and once 104. I consider this normal. Do you think that since our WLS the readings could be inaccurate? Take care. Dianne 411/256/??? surgery 04-14-03 9 weeks pregnant Already have 10 1/2 and 12 year old!! Guest guest
I was told that we shouldn't take the glucola test b/c it could make us severely ill/dump and that this type of testing for gestational diabetes was no good. Supposedly the results of this after GBP are invalid. The 2 hour post-prandial test is what is most recommened I think. I think some or one of the links on the home page of this group talks more about not taking the glucola testing and how the results are invalid anyway. Sheila excerpt from Dr Wittgrove on our home page: " Glucose Tolerance Testing should not be performed. The test is potentially dangerous after GBP, and the results are uninterpretable and useless "
