Mito cocktail and stinky urine

Anybody notice a connection between the cocktail and

solvent or medicine smelling urine? I noticed this

after starting niacinimide, selenium, Vitamin C,

Vitamin E and B-50 complex. These were started after

CoQ10 and Carnitor which did not cause a problem.

I know B vitamins can give you a strong smelling urine.

Carnitor can cause a fishy odor in urine and sweat if it isn't

balanced with enough CoQ10. B2 causes very stinky urine, but this goes

away as the day progresses. I'm guessing that if our kidneys or

intestines aren't working properly, then other things could cause a

smell as well. I know for myself, since I have renal tubular

dysfunction, some things are excreted in stool rather than kidneys and

too much of other things go through me into the urine.

Not only have I noticed a funny smell but also my urine is fluorescent

yellow. I know it's caused by the supplements I take because I ran out of the

more

expensive ones and wasn't able to get any for awhile and the funny smell and

color went away during that time.

The smell isn't a carnitor smell. It's also not a B2

smell. It smells like a chemical cleaner or solvent.

Does not smell like anything I've ever smelled before.

It is not an infected smell or a BM smell. It's been

suggested to me that it may just be the metabolic

disease itself.

Hi a,

The urine " smell " is indicative of a FOD (per articles

on PubMed).

Darlene,

I think this is from the B-50 complex. I know that the

smell isn't from that, the carnitor, or the CoQ10.
