Our son can have potatoes. I am just trying to find something without the

vit A palmitate. Although is starting to sound impossible. Some time ago he

was drinking a rice milk that had vit a palmitate he started to visually

stem allot. We didn't know what it was. When we removed the rice milk so

went the stems. It could have been a coincidence. I was trying to avoid if

all Possible. Thanks Betty for you response.

Blessings,

Ellie

Ellie, can your son have almond milk like Blue Diamond Almond Breeze? Or is

he off potatoes. There is DariFree nondairy milk.

I did this in the afternoon. He doesn't seem crazy about so I mixed with the

soy and he drank it. If I can find a good rice milk, I hope I can switch him

slowly and at least start cooking with it. I'll keep you posted.

Re: Rice Milk

Ellie, have you tried making your own rice milk? I only tried it once and

mine did not turn out but there are some recipes in the archives.

I did not like the taste of the homemade rice milk but I baked with it with no

problem. Perhaps you can wean him to your homemade rice milk by mixing it with

the soy and slowly taking the soy out??

I posted the original recipe for making your own and I have a hint, If it is

turning out too watery cut the water by one cup, I did this on accident and

it came out quite a bit thicker and had more flavor. F

What brand of rice milk were you using? Rice Dream brand has gluten in

it.
