Guest guest
no. I don't think it is necessary to do the exercises. At least he didn't mention them to us. If they are important, I think he would have mentioned them, don't you think?
Guest guest
I think it's Dobbs that's handing out the exercise sheet. Or am I wrong again? It's in the files section though. Guest guest
Yes, your right he would have mentioned it. I just wanted to make sure. Thanks. Guest guest
Hi, just me butting in. Dr. H told us to do the stretches with Tommy. I think it is recommended for tough feet that are having a problem with good dorsiflexion. > Yes, your right he would have mentioned it. Guest guest
did the same for us except he didn't give us a booklet.. Guest guest
, So, pretty much, the stretching is needed for the atypical clubfoot like Tommy? Guest guest
I also wonder if it matters at which age you start wearing the FAB. But, that doesn't make sense either because we all started around the same time. Our babies are close in age. Maybe he only recommends the exercises for Atypical. Guest guest
Good Morning all. I was reading your post and thought you might like to know that there is a booklet on this site for the excercises. If you go to the files you will find a booklet under Streching Excercises from Dr. Dobbs. Hope this information can help you. Shelley - Secretary for B. Guest guest
I'm not sure if it is for all atypical feet but it is for those that have a tight heel cord and some existing problems with equinus. > > Yes, your right he would have mentioned it. Guest guest
. Sorry, I haven't posted yet because I had a crazy weekend!!!! Dr. H actually reduced 's angle on both feet to 50 degrees. I guess because her hips and legs are rotated out so far (I forget the medical term he used), thus making her feet go out to practically 90 degrees. He assured me every build is different and every case is different and just happens to be built like this, nothing wrong with that, just her feet are out too far and therefore should be reduced. At first he was going to do 60 degrees, then decided to do 50. Her dorsiflexion is still 20% on both feet and extremely flexible. He was super pleased with how they look. I asked if I needed to worry about a relapse because of the new angle, but he said her feet are doing so good and they really need to be turned in slightly or she will be worse than duck feet later. He also said she has the perfect build for a ballet dancer. So I will surely be on top of that when the time comes. I am a little nervous about the angle, but I know he knows what he is doing. Also, you can bearly notice the difference between 50 and 70. At least on the s. Maybe that is why he decided to go down to 50. believe me, I will keep a close eye. Thank you for checking in. I was going to get around to posting sooner or later. Also, to let all of you know. My husband and I (and kids of course) are moving to Charlotte, NC. We close on the house next Monday and then off we go. I am dropping my career and everything. It is a lot of stress at the moment, but I will get through it. You may not see much of me over the next several weeks. Also, this email will no longer be used. Shook Retail Operations Manager/Baking Instructor Vie de France Yamazaki, Inc. 2070 Chain Bridge Rd. Guest guest
All the best with the move, . We'll miss you around here for the few weeks you're out of commission. I remember the encouragement you offered when I first joined this group; you're always such a big help. Glad to hear about 's good report. Will you be switching docs? Guest guest
Thanks Kim. That is very sweet. I know Dr. Frick is in Charlotte. Dr. H highly recommended him, but I am unsure at this point. I don't mind continueing in Baltimore as we are down to twice a year check-ups. We'll see.
