Guest guest
I am happy to say that after 12 days in the hospital, Max and I are finally home. The surgery went well - the gj tube is in place and working. Max still cannot tolerate any food by mouth, so the j tube is his only source of getting nutrition. All meds are going through the g tube. What a set-back! The doctor said that this nausea and gastroparesis could last for weeks, so he has loaded us up with Zofran and we will carry on. I'm glad that this coming week is only a four day week. Max will not go to school tomorrow, but will go for half days for the three days that are left. I'd love to write more, but I need a shower and a nap. We are in good emotional states, so don't worry about that part. I just feel so badly for Max. Hasn't he been through enough? Jodi Z. P.S. When I have time, I will tell you about the fight we are having with our insurance company to pay for gh and Peptamen, Jr. I've been in touch with our Assemplyman and will contact our Senator this week, too. Assemplyman Munoz is ready to join in the fight! Dr. H. is thrilled and will back us up 100%

Guest guest
It sounds like you have had a tough couple of months. Keep hanging in there a day at a time...I find that if I look too far ahead sometimes that doesn't help! I hope things go better, glad Max is home and eating! , 4.5, Emerence 20 mo. 18 lb 11 oz, 28.5 " SGA/mild RSS? > > We came home today. Max is feeling much better and is even eating > agin.
