Guest guest
We are so new to GFCF. Just about 2 wks but I have slowly removed infractions such as buying the additional toaster etc. Today I made tuna for my son. The ingred. are as follows: White tuna Soybean oil vegetable broth salt pyrophosphate As my son consummed his sandwich I noticed his cheeks became flushed. When he was almost done he got up and started hoping and jumping all over my kitchen almost out of breath. Mind you just before that there was a song from Zoom on the TV and I thought maybe a delayed reaction to the song because at the time he was jumping the song was over and it was just kids talking? Sorry for my ignorance but is there something in the tuna that he shouldn't have? Debbie
Guest guest
Fish and soy are common allergens. Tuna is also has high levels of mercury. Re: : Tuna? > We are so new to GFCF. Guest guest
Many many many brands of tuna contain dairy in the veg broth. We dont even try to eat it anymore because of the possible mercury in the fish. But if he really likes tuna there might be acceptable brands on the gf/cfdiet site. Guest guest
The vegetable broth could be questionable and he could also be having a reaction to the soy. If soy has not bothered him before I would think it was the broth. I finally just quit buying the tuna especially with the mercury question. And you are certainly not showing your ignorance by asking questions. If you are, we all are. That's why we are here. Betty Re: : Tuna? We are so new to GFCF.
