Guest guest
Hi all! My son Cameron (10.21.04, bilateral club feet) is now in the DBB, but he only wears them at night (he usually sleeps for about 12 hours). Recently, he discovered the fine art of rolling on to his belly, so now he prefers, or at least trys desperately, to sleep on his side. He even began night-waking because he's so uncomfortable, and it's interrupting everyone's sleep. No matter how hard we try to keep him on his back and in his shoes, we inevitably wake in the morning to find him on his side with his shoes kicked off or twisted around on one foot. Has anybody else had this problem? What did you do?? Brittney

Guest guest
don't feel bad.. i let grace sleep on her stomach since she was about a month old... she had problems with gas because she couldn't draw her knees up in the casts... i started letting her take naps on her tummy and she was so so much better and then i started letting her sleep all the time on her tummy and she was a totally different baby... so the tummy thing may work... good luck mommy to Grace 12-03-03 BCF Dobb's Brace 23/7 Dawn-Marie dawnmarie2251@...> wrote: I know that it is a no no, but I let my son sleep on his belly. chbtrouble blboone@...> wrote: Hi all! Guest guest
Aleksander likes to sleep on his side as well, and we found a sleep positioner that works really well. He isn't in the DDB again yet (he had problems and is in healing casts now), but when he is back in the DDB, we will put a small pillow behind his legs to keep them propped up, and perhaps another in between them to support his knees. The sleep positioner we have is basically just two foam wedges, with a fabric cover that connects the wedges. It works great, and he sleeps so much better when we use it...and it helps to prevent him from rolling onto his belly since there is a wedge on each side. We got it at Baby Depot, which is part of Burlington Coat Factory here. I've also seen something similar at Target, Babies R Us and Toys R Us, although the one we got was only about $5 and the others I've seen are closes to $20. > Hi all! > > My son Cameron (10.21.04, bilateral club feet) is now in the DBB, but > he only wears them at night (he usually sleeps for about 12 hours). > Recently, he discovered the fine art of rolling on to his belly, so > now he prefers, or at least trys desperately, to sleep on his side. > He even began night-waking because he's so uncomfortable, and it's > interrupting everyone's sleep. Guest guest
I know it is a no no, but I let my son sleep on his tummy as well. I would lay him down on his tummy with the DBB on and then he would scrunch is feet up under him. This is the only way he was ever comfortable.
