Guest guest
Okay, this is really weird! LOL Christian crawls now with his hands on the floor but his legs are straight (as if he were walking)! Is anyone's child doing strange things like this? LOL)! Guest guest
Is it like an army man crawl? If so this is how my oldest son (non- clubfoot) always crawled. He never crawled with his knees bent. Pam and (8-12-01) > Okay, this is really weird! LOL Christian crawls now with his hands on the > floor but his legs are straight (as if he were walking)! Guest guest
The army man crawl is when they are just using their arms and dragging themselves right? Christian has his legs position vertical to the floor and he is bent over with his hands on the floor...LOL. It is so hard to explain. I have to get a picture of this today. It's worth the laugh! Guest guest
I think this is called a " simian crawl " . My daughter (clubfoot) did it as well. They say that it is a precursor to walking....or at least that what I have read in child development books. My daughter started walking 3 weeks ago, and she still " crawls " like this sometimes. I think she likes to mess with different perspectives. Amy & Gwyneth (rt. club foot) 12/5/03 Re: crawling with his legs straight Is it like an army man crawl? Guest guest
Audrey did this too...it seemed to emerge after she had been crawling for a while but before she started walking. We thought it was her introduction to walking and getting the feel for what that would be like. Bess At 03:58 PM 3/18/2005, you wrote: >Okay, this is really weird!
