Guest guest
I had Ebony in with me while I was divorced, but when I met my husband, we transitioned her to her own bed/bedroom. Even with me though, she would wake up. Generally, I have more success getting her back to sleep the faster I get to her. The more time she has to wake up all the way, the harder it is. It is really hard to sleep with her now though because of the baby. I am up at least twice to feed him and up until a couple of nights ago, he was sleeping with us too. Also, when my husband is home the bed is fairly crowded already...LOL...he's one of those skinny guys who sleep in the middle of the bed and sprawl and then steal all the blanket too. So I'm already confined to about a foot of space. It does work a lot better though to sleep together if you can. It's just not an option for us right now. I have the baby's first appointment on Monday morning with the pediatrician and I am going to ask her about the clonidine. We had used clonidine before switching to zoloft, she was still waking up with the clonidine. But I'm wondering if we could keep it on hand for those nights she does wake up and give it to her right away when she wakes up..at least then she would only be up for an hour at the most instead of 3 hours. Oh well, we'll see what the pediatrician says. Maybe she'll have another suggestion. Thanks again for everyone who is offering support and advice. I really appreciate it!
