Guest guest
I don't think the weight isue is the main problem. I think you have ppd and the wieght is just something to bother you. If it is really bad I would call and talk to your docs office, maybe get an anti depressant for a little bit. I have gained 35 pounds so far and have 8 weks left. I was bothered in the beginning but I know that with hard work the weight will come off, not all at once I am sure, but I will work hard at it and that is what you are going to have to do after. Let your body rest and adjust, you will get the rest off. Summer is juts starting and once you are healed form childbirtht here will be ssoo much to do and you can take that precious little man for long walks in the stroller for some excerecise and work out the way you would like to. But for now, take it easy, it is coming off God Bless, Robin, NorthEastern, NY Age- 41 EDD- July 27th, 2004 IT'S A BOY!!!!!! Guest guest
I don't want to minimize what you are going through because I have had PPD when I had my son 4.5 years ago. But I do think you are setting unrealistic expectations on your weight loss. Some lose fast, some lose slow....you can't hold yourself to other peoples standards. The best thing for PPD if you think you have it is time, rest, taking good care of yourself and possibly medication. This baby is still new and you have gone through so many changes! Your hormones are going crazy right now and that is normal. Please take good care of yourself and your little one. And if you feel like your depression is anything other than normal baby blues....please please please talk to your Dr right away so he/she can help you with some medication.
