MISSIE! You are pregnant. That accounts for a lot of the increase in

calories. I ate donuts during my entire pregnancy. Grazed as well -- eating

every 90 minutes. Gained 18 pounds. Lost it. Do not be overly concerned

about it but try to make good choices. Do not beat yourself up on it okay?

What matters is that you are engineering a baby dear. You are feeding and

providing nutrition to a little one. Don't use pregnancy as an excuse to eat

everything in the world but don't beat yourself up on making more or

different choices than prior.

I am 31 1/2 weeks and have gained 36 pounds. I was an eating machine in the

first 4 months of pregnancy and craved big macs and ATE THEM too, it was

terrible but i felt like I was out of control. the best part is now at the later

part of pregnancy my cravings are gone, except i love strawberrys and watermelon

now, but at least that is good for you, i do not eat the large amount of foods

i was in the beginning and my weight gain has slowed to all but nothing so i

think I am back on track. i will diet my ass off after this bay is born to lose

what I have gained and I know this baby will be ssoo worth it all. What you

are going thru is normal pregnancy stuff and it will be okay. Good luck to you

and your baby.

Missie,

My advice would be to focus on what is healthy for the baby and try to eat

that as much as possible and not so much the amount of what you are eating. You

are going to gain weight with pregnancy so try to do it with good food and not

bad. In my opinion you need to just breathe calm down and adjust to the fact

that you are pregnant and your body is going through some MAJOR changes. It

will be ok! Just pace yourself.

Hi Missie...

First off, let me say congrats on your black belt....My hubby is involved

in USSD Martial arts and I know how difficult each rank is to achieve...

I think , as with anything, there will be days when you wonder what the

heck is going on... I am 21 weeks pregnant, and 15 months post-op...and I

have those days as well. There are some days when I can't get down a half

cup of oatmeal (even spaced out over 30 minutes!) and days that I feel as

though I can (and am!) eating everything not nailed down!!!!

I don't know if it's a pregnancy thing..or me and my old ways meeting

back up... to date, I have gained just 4 pounds since the beginning of the

pregnancy though...and both my OB and surgeon says not to worry about it

right now.

I sometimes think we are all so much more vigilant than most pregnant

women and weight gain because we were at that point where our surgery was

necessary...and never wanna go back...

Your eating and weight gain may be because you are not working out like

you were...and after the baby, that may change again...just hang in

there...and give us all a holler if you need us! (This is a GREAT place for

support!)

Sending hugs~
