Guest guest
GlacierJust FYI those with shoes, I cleaned Everett's today. I scrubbed them with a tooth brush and dishsoap real well, then rinsed under warm water, blotted dry with a towel and hung them out in the back yard to dry all day in the breeze. They turned out really nice. Not something I'd want to do very often lest some glue or something comes loose, but if your shoes are as grubby as his had gotten you might want to try it. s. Guest guest
That is great to know! Thank you! You didn't soak them at all, right? Just scubbed them? I think it was you that posted, you have an appt. on the 23rd, right? If so could you ask if is in the process of making the shoes that " snap " onto the bar? My dh was just there and forgot to ask. I had heard from another that he was in the process of making them. Not sure when they will be ready. Thanks, KK Livi 01/22/03 Ava bilat severe atypical cf/s 16-18/7 P.S. Ava had a great check up. Guest guest
The shoes ended up soaking wet, but no, I didn't submerse them in water and soak them for any amount of time. They look practically brand new again - I hadn't washed them in the ? months he's been wearing this pair (6 or 8 months?). The leather was slightly stiff after they dried, but they did just fine on his feet last night and have already loosened back up. One thing I did want to ask you all about - in the heel of his shoe, in the yellow heel pocket area the yellow rubber there are what appears to be rusty spots. I know it's not actual rust, but little rusty black/red spots and tiny holes as rust would eat in to something. They didn't scrub off or scrub clean. OH yes, I will see Dr. Ponseti this Wednesday the 23rd. I'll try to ask if he's there about the snap. I want to ask Dr. Ponseti about using the new markell shoe next, too. I'm wondering if the shoes are set at 60 degrees would the markells be at 60 or 70. Doesn't matter, just curious. s. Re: Clean Shoes That is great to know! Thank you! Guest guest
I know what you mean about the rusty/black spots. I don't know what there from. They almost remind of mold...but I know it isn't. LOL Good luck in getting to switch to the Markells. That would be a big help on anyones purse. KK > > GlacierJust FYI those with shoes, I cleaned Everett's > today.
