Guest guest
Well, I'm preggers! Only 3 1/2 weeks, but I am so thrilled. We'd been using an ovulation kit the last 2 months and I'm overjoyed that the kit works. I was able to conceive without any meds. we did the clomid route a decade ago, but had really hoped my 130 lb weight loss would make pregnancy more viable. I should be ecstatic, and I sort of am, but I am more terrified this won't stick around. I've lost lots of other pregnancies. I call my PCP tomorrow AM but I have no regular OB/GYN since my PCP had been doing my female exams the last few years. if anyone has good recomendations for Chicago area OBs who are familiar with pregnancies after bypass do drop me a line email. minxkely @ xnet.com thanks! I hope to get lots of info thru this group. Colleen Open RNY 5-9-03 361/232/
Guest guest
You ladies give me HOPE. In the next 2 months we are going to try to conceive again for our third child. Before WLS we had 2 m/c followed by 3 years of infertility (we only did clomid) then turned to adoption. I too have PCOS. I am hoping the wait loss will help things, I was 30 lbs heavier than I am now when I got pg with our daughter on the 2nd month of trying. Thanks, Pam

Guest guest
Congrats on the pregnancy!!! You and I are in a similar boat per se - I did the clomid and fertility doc thing a few yrs ago with absolutely no success. I have PCOS, and like you, hoped the weight loss would be a factor in getting pregnant after 6.5 yrs of marriage...Lo and behold, the first month we were allowed to try post op, I GOT PREGNANT...It is such a miracle for us, even though the baby will be due during moose hunting season...lol, Dave will get over it! I was 9 mos post op, 104 lb lighter and about 15 lb from goal when we conceived in Feb... Though I am not from the Chicago area and can't offer you a referral to an ob, I really wanted to respond to your post and say congrats... All the best, Hugs, RN 17 weeks preg today EDC Nov 10/04 > Well, I'm preggers!
