Guest guest
Hello all...I know I haven't posted much lately, so many may not remember me. Busy life...too busy, but I read your posts every day and respond to some! I'm 33 weeks and as of yesterday's appointment, my peritanologist (I still can't spell this right!) has placed me on modified bedrest, telling me I can finish out the rest of this work week at 4 hours each day, then I am to remain home and resting. I am having severe abdominal pain, upper thighs aching, low back pain and what I am still assuming are BH contractions. The severe pain, we are attributing to adhesion from two previous c-sections and my RNY. The little boy IS however in the head down position and quite low. Doc mentioned a shortened cervix but still closed. I sked her what that meant and she stated it could mean nothing as this was the first time she'd ever felt or looked at it (I go to an office where there is a team of docs and you never quite know who you are going to end up with at your appointment -- I've liked all of them, so that's a good thing!) What, in your opinions (Nurses speak up!) could a shortened cervix mean?? I am sorta grateful for the fact she is taking me out of work because each day is getting tougher and tougher to navigate. Everyone keeps telling me how tiny I am and I even saw a pic of myself from mothers day where I was finally convinced that I'm not a big pregnant cow...however I HAVE gained 42 pounds! BP was up for me (138/80), no protein in urine, some ankle swelling, no swelling elsewhere, just oh so very tired and not sleeping the best. Still too much stress in my life (work issues--boy are they going to love me after this week! -- Divorce is dragging on FORever with him being the ultimate jerk AND with the wonderful state telling me that this is HIS child until it's born and I can prove otherwise--he knows darn good and well it's not his....) could go on forever with my issues but I won't, but now maybe some of you will remember me from my introductory post! LOL Anyhow, if someone could answer me on the shortened cervix thing, I'd appreciate it. Best wishes to you all! Jacque EDD 7/20 however taking him via planned c-sec around July 9 10 yr old Boy 4 yr old Girl RNY 5/21/02 352/166/172/214!!
