Guest guest
Listmates having trouble with avoiding vaccinations: If you have run RAST & ELISA tests for allergies/intolerances, you may be able to get medical exemptions based on those results if the vax contain proven allergins. For example, I picked up a brochure on HiB which states anyone with a " hypersensitivity or allergy to yeast or other components of the vaccine should not be vaccinated. " (Not- so-funny thing, the brochure does not list the other ingredients!) I know many of you are dealing with egg problems, and eggs are in some vax. You may also want to test your child for mercury allergy (of course, it is toxic for everyone anyway). Last estimate I saw was 10% of the population. For example, if you wore contact lens in the '80's and had a reaction to the solutions which contained thirmerosol (sp?), you were probably reactive to the mercury perservative. This allergy prevents most vaccinations. There is a question about the MMR, too, as testing is underway regarding possible trace mercury. For ingredients, try www.909shot.com. Hope this helps.
