MDA recommends the flu shot and gives them to patients each year.

Bob

I have had one every year and wouldn't be without one. I worked with

students who had the flu - just inches away and have never gotten it.

I get a flu shot every year, as well as the pneumonia vaccine when it is

due for me. This has helped me out a lot with respiratory issues the

past 10 years.

I heard of a lot of bad reactions to this shot.

Is it advisable to take this flu vaccine or just sick it out.

I'm 58 years.

Hi Bob

Just this one data point from me: I'm 56 with MERRF and MSL (Multiple

Symmetrical Lipomatosis), many neuro symptoms and severe exercise

intolerance. I had the flu shot (and pneumonia as well) and I was just fine.
