Guest guest
Christie, On my Trying to Concieve yahoo group, some women are using the sanitary Instead Cups...the cup you insert in the vagina during your menstrual cycle to collect your fluid. Anyway, some of the ladies are using the cups after their husband has " done his business. " By inserting the cup after he ejaculates inside you, it evidently keeps the fluids from leaking out. Several women have gotten pregnant and swear by the Instead Cups. I haven't tried this, but thought I would pass it along. I was looking at some fertility information on a website (can't remember which site), and it recommended the husband ejaculate into the Instead Cup THEN insert it in the vagina and then stimulating the woman (recommended clitoral stimulation)to have an orgasm which evidently helps open the cervix opening and lowers the cervix for better access for the sperm. I just thought I would share what I had learned...not necessarily recommend you try this, but it might be an option if you are very concerned about too much fluids leaking out. Guest guest
In response to Christie and Donna (who suggested inserting Instead Cups and then having the woman orgasm): On the same track -- it could be very important for you to continue until you orgasm -- and you have to orgasm after your hubby. This helps the sperm along on their journey. If you stop because you orgasm and THEN hubby does or just because hubby does, then you are only half way through. Ferguson Rasley mailto:dferguson@... Guest guest
, That is good information to know...I am all for orgasm anytime and everytime! :-) Fortunately my husband is great in this area, but I didn't realize it was important for conception for the orgasm to occur AFTER he ejaculates...interesting. Thanks! Guest guest
I believe where I got that information was from Taking Care of your Fertility by Toni Weschler -- either that or one of the infertility sites I was on a few years back. The woman's orgasm helps push the sperm where they need to go if it happens AFTER the man orgasms. Ferguson Rasley mailto:dferguson@... Guest guest
" Donna Knipp " wrote: " I didn't realize it was important for conception for the orgasm to occur AFTER he ejaculates " ==================================================================== LMBO!! It may be important for some, but I didn't orgasm at all when I got pregnant (artifical insemination in the Dr's office!) LOL
Guest guest
oh, I just recalled something my RE told me, on the subject of leaking semen, the first time around they used a small plastic-covered sponge that they inserted to " hold the little critters in my cervix " . The next two times, they didn't place the sponge because they said after looking at all of the success rates, the use of the sponge didn't increase success rates any more than not using them, so they stopped. Guest guest
I've heard this also and saw a show once on Discovery health that showed how the womans cervex spasims during orgasm actually " sucking " fluid up inside bringing the sperm deeper and closer to the destination. I've even heard it was best for the woman to have an orgasm with out her partner having one and then a while later have the partner have his ejaculation and the woman to have a second one after that. I think it has something to do with the blood flow to that area and the vaginal secretions that help the sperm on their way. 2 to 1 WOW are we lucky I wonder if it was a woman who did that research! - Diane > > > In response to Christie and Donna (who suggested inserting Instead > > Cups and > > > then having the woman orgasm): > > > On the same track -- it could be very important for you to > > continue until > > > you orgasm -- and you have to orgasm after your hubby.
