Guest guest
Here's something I've been meaning to share for a while...Ava's hours were reduced about 5 weeks ago, and of course I was SOOOO excited. About a week later, I got her some " fancy " shoes--cute little dress shoes. They were cheap little things-$5 at Walmart, so I could get 2 sizes, a 2 for her CF and a 3 for the " normal " foot. Anyway, I was so excited to put them on her the next Sunday morning, and I left them on for almost her whole 6 hours that she was out of her DBB. STUPID STUPID STUPID!!! She had a HUGE blister going across the top of her foot, right where the strap was. It took almost 2 weeks for it to get better. Fortunately, it was a little lower than the strap of the Markells. But I was SOOO careful to not let her get a blister or anything when she started the DBB, and just like that she gets a stupid stinkin' razza-frazza blister from her very first pair of NORMAL SHOES!!!! And now, after all that she has a scar running right across the top of her foot. So all I want to say is, learn from me! Don't throw your kids into any old shoes!! I'm a Payless type girl--but after this I think I'll be buying Ava's shoes at some nicer places! ;-) , mommy of: Guinevere, on, Ava 8/4/04 RCF ABS DBB 18/
Guest guest
- Well at least you learned early on. I've always been told that adults feet problems stem from children wearing cheap shoes as they grow up. I've always bought expensive shoes for my kids for this reason. I also don't let my younger son where hand me downs from his older brother because it isn't good for children to wear shoes that are broken down in different places from their different walks. > > Here's something I've been meaning to share for a while...Ava's > hours were reduced about 5 weeks ago, and of course I was SOOOO > excited.
