Surprise Shower Yesterday- LONG

I am really NOT good with surprises, I HATE them when they are for me but

LOVE to do them for others. Anyways, 3 weeks ago my friend marcy called and said

another friend Krista wanted to have a BBQ on June 6th and for me to mark it

down on my calendar, I LOVE Krista and would not miss it unless it was really

important so I really looked forward to it. The day before i decided to take a

ride over to Vermont to see my brother and SIL since they moved into their new

house and I had not seen it yet and i miss them dearly, my older sister went

over too so i could see her and we had a nice visit and had a couple burgers

on the grill for us all before we headed back to new york, anyways, On the way

to the ferry the kids saw some hot air balloons in the sky that were flying

really low, there was like 9 of them and they were ssooo colorful, anyways, i

remembered the Vermont Hot air balloon festival was in town and decided to turn

around and head for the fairgrounds and see if I could show them more, but it

was getting late so by the time we got there you could not reallys ee

anything. I had really wanted to take them so i thought about going back over on

Sunday to see them instead of going to the BBQ at Kristas since the balloon fest

is

once a year and Krista would have many more BBQ's. Well i slept like crap

that night and felt like crap Sunday morning from being ssooo sore from tossing

and not sleeping so i deciede the balloon fest was out and the BBQ was back in.

Good thing, lol, because it was a small surprise shower for me. My boys knew

about it too and never told, lol...That alone was a surprise. My SIL, older

sister, neice, krista and marcy, ,great friend Tammy and her DIL to be and

family friend Vicky and Tara all were there. Most of them had come from Vermont.

was ssooo nice. We DID have a BBQ but it was just us, my kids and krista kept

her 2 boys home and Tara had her twins girls who were 1 and her 3 yo son with

her. Tara just had GAstric bypass surgery in May and is doing great i told

her don't be lifitng on those babies. I got lots more baby clothes but they

got me bigger ones, i got 2 great engraved baby photo albums from tara, gift

cards, my high chair i wanted ( the last big thing i needed) little shoes,

sneakers and sandals, lol, a rectal thermometer, daiper pins, teethers, blankie,

all the little thingies.It was just ssooo thoughtful of Krista to do this for

me. She is ssooo wonderful to everyone.I NEVER expected a shower since i ahd a

big one 8 years ago for the twins, none with my daughter but is till had

everything left over from the twins. it was just ssoo nice to sit out and shoot

the

breeze with everyone. Good things I did not go to the balloon fest, they would

of KILLED me they said, LOL....

That was so nice of them to do that for you! I have never had a baby shower and

I don't think my hubby's family is planning on throwing one for me this time

either....I'm married and pregnant so I just don't fit into their ideals! Ha

ha! You only get a baby shower in his family if you are unmarried and

pregnant.....

I know if I were back in California my family and friends would do it...Last

time they all gave me one by mail it was very sweet.
