Guest guest
One of the other mommies at s preschool who was due 2 weeks before me had her baby this weekend. He is so tiny just 5 pounds and looks like a little doll! Absolutely perfect - no complications - just early!!! I was feeling a bit jealous that I'm still waddling around like a duck and that I can't hold my baby yet.....Oh well! As my mom says this baby will come out just like his brother....when he is ready and not one minute before!!! Chrystal Wife to Jace - together 6 Years! Happy Mommy to - 4 Years Old! Guest guest
Chrystal, from a mom of a 34 weeker, you will WANT your little baby to cook as long as humanly possible! My came at 34 weeks, unexpected, and, let me just say, I was or thought I was ready for him. But, no one told me that he could possibly have complications, other than being early. He was on a ventialtor for 24 hours, and oxygen for the next week, that he spent in the NICU. I didn't get to hold him for the first three days of his life. He didn't quite have down the sucking and swallowing reflex either. I wanted more than anything to breastfeed him and was unable to. ( I did pump) Could I have changed the future, I would have wanted him to cook longer, I really would have. The hardest thing was leaving my baby in the hospital when I went home. Heartbreaking. I was in a lot of pain at the end, well, really throughout my pregnancy with scar adhesions stretching. I was in the hospital at least 6 times through the entire time I was pregnant. He weighed 6 pounds, 9 ounces, yeah, he was big, and still is, but, I wouldn't have wanted him to come early. I would have been thankful for every day I had him inside. Just my humble opinion. Just wanted to share. Your lucky that your little guy is still in there. I know it's hard waiting, but, trust me, you'll be glad for everyday that he cooks. Good Luck!! Hugs to you!
