Guest guest
Cathy, I totally agree with what everyone has said so far, but I wanted to offer a possible explanation that I never would've thought of. A neighbor of mine was telling me that she had invited a family over for Easter and their child was on a dairy-free diet. The mother expected my neighbor to make everything dairy-free. While it would be nice for family members to do this, asking a non-relative is a bit much. Any way, I just wanted to point out that this mother may have been concerned that you would expect her to cater to your child's dietary needs, and that would overwhelm most people. Hope the party is a blast!
