Guest guest
I was faithfully taking my birth control pills when we got pregnant. I found out from an online support group many women were conceiving taking the oral bcp (malabsorption of the hormone) so we scheduled hubby to get neutered. About 4 days before his procedure, we found out we were pregnant. Since our youngest was born with a rare genetic disorder, and has had 12 surgeries in her 40 months, we decided we where done with two, although I originally wanted 4. They tell us to wait because it is really for the best. I would never have gotten pregnant on purpose, what if I miscarry then I would personally ask myself if I had not tried to get pregnant against the doctors orders, would the pregnancy have made it. It is bad enough when a miscarriage happens, to live with the uncertainty and blame would be unbearable. Of course, on the other end of the spectrum, I have heard of women who where unknowingly pregnant when they had their bypass surgery and both mother and baby where fine. I am now a week out, and I read all these posts about becoming preggers very soon after WLS... my doctor has me on the pill. Were you guys on any form of B/C at time of conception? --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
