Guest guest
. Take the shoes off and check to make sure there are no pressure sores developing on his feet. Those will contribute to him being miserable. I would check every 4 hours or so for the first couple of days. If you have the tips list (which I think you said you did), you will be able to get the shoes back on right. No better time like now to learn!!! Overall, I'm glad things are going smoothly thus far. Maybe try a rolled up towel under his legs in the carseat. That may work. Crossing fingers to an uninterrupted night! Guest guest
What are pressure sores? Red indentation from the strap? Also, is it normal for the legs to be kinda red? Red enough that when I press on the leg a white spot appears and then disappears.... susan.shook@... wrote: . Guest guest
I'm going out today to get a different car seat since the one we have doesn't really work very will with the DDB. I have a few in mind, and wanted to see if any of you have any opinions on the ones I'm thinking of, or if you think I should look for something else. I've done some research, and these seem like best buys, but the research doesn't say anything about special considerations. Here's what I'm considering: - Evenflo Car Seat, Triumph™ 5-Comfort Touch - Cosco Car Seat, Alpha Omega™ with LATCH - Cosco Convertible Car Seat, Alpha Omega Elite I will have Aleksander with me, and will be putting him in the seats to see how he fits, but it helps to have a second opinion. We are getting the convertible car seat now so hopefully we won't have to buy another one after this for him! Also, can you move these convertible car seats from one car to another, or do you need to have two if you have two vehicles? We have two cars, and although we primarily use the 4 door car more, sometimes we have to use the other one and need a car seat in it as well. Thanks,
Guest guest
We tried them all and bought the triumph. We love it. Not only can I adjust the straps easily but the base is nice and wide at the bottom where their feet go so the FAB fits very well. I highly recommend it. Guest guest
Oh, and we paid the few extra bucks for the 'elite' model or whatever they call it. Extra padding and what not. Worth it to us. Guest guest
Ava has the Evenflo Triumph & we absolutely love it. We actually took it from our almost 3 yr old and bought him a new one, so it's already been " in service " for 2 years & it's held up wonderfully. I've had other car seats that fall apart when you wash them, but this is a great car seat. Lots of room for the bar, and very cushy for the tushy! It's a little weird getting used to the double straps on top, but no biggie! You can switch them from one car to another--but be warned--one of the reasons we bought the Triumph was it felt nice & safe & solid--but that makes it VERY HEAVY!!! Not the easiest thing to carry around! All in all I can't say enough about the Triumph--I highly recommend it. :-D Hope this helps! , mommy of: Guinevere, on, Ava 8/4/04 RCF ABS DBB 18/
Guest guest
Just one more side point--Burlington Coat Factory carries the Triumph, and I've seen it there on sale for $99...unlike Babys R Us/Superstore which never puts ANYTHING on sale...it's worth a shot. , mommy of: ...you know...
