Guest guest
Hi Alison: Exactly! is an a class with 9 children total (although they can put up to 10 in the class) 1/2 special needs 1/2 non-special needs. They have 1 teacher, 2 aids and never all kids in the room at the same time except for meals and napped. They get picked up and delivered by bus, their school day is from 9 to 2:30. What more can you ask? I am surprised that they won't replace Jake's button. Is he in a special school, or a special class in a regular school? They are in a special school, so maybe that is the difference. anyway, we are sending a spare button to school tomorrow to prevent any more complications. Take care, Judith, Steve, (RSS) and (non RSS) 4 year old twins
Guest guest
Hi Jodi, I guess it really is called self-contained, I was just half asleep this morning. So far, other than overnight for tonsils (as a precaution), has not been in the hospital since the gtube etc. in June 2002. Something to consider for the future, but not for preschool next year since his IEP is already done. Thanks for letting me know I'm on top of things. I think I just needed validation for someone who has been there that I'm not forgetting anything important. Hang in there with Max, Judith
