Earth Balance buttery spread, non gmo 100 percent expeller pressed oils, non hydrogenated. 100 percent vegan, non diary.Confirmed gluten/casein free. I now use this myself as it tasted great with no cholesteral. It does have soy and corn for those avoiding them. I am just wondering whether my recipe didn't turn out well because I didn't use marg. but used the Earth Balance? I want to do this with the kids again soon because I feel like they were so excited and then what a let down when it didn't work so I will definately give your recipe a try. thanks again Debbie

I thought I had two, but the other was a cut out recipe. a - Madison WI SPRITZ COOKIES 1 cup cf margarine 1 cup sugar 1 egg 2 tsp. gf vanilla extract 1-3/4 cup rice flour 3/4 cup potato starch flour 1 tsp xanthan gum 1 tsp. gf baking powder Combine the flours, xanthan gum and baking powder; set aside. In a mixing bowl cream together margarine and sugar. Add the egg and vanilla; beat well. Add the flour mixture and thoroughly combine. Fill a cookie press and press into desired shapes on ungreased cookie sheet. Sprinkle with sugar crystals. Bake at 400 degrees for 9-10 minutes till done. Remove from cookie sheets and cool on wire racks. Brown Sugar spritz: Substitute 3/4 cup of brown sugar for regular sugar, and reduce rice flour by a 1/4 cup. Chocolate Spritz: Stir 2 oz. of melted and cooled unsweetened gfcf chocolate into margarine mixture.
