got ahold of some cheese over the weekend, and has broken out with a

couple small, pimple looking bumps on his chin/upper lip, and has a runny

nose.. Could these things be connected?

Hi everyone, I have always gotten chicken pox looking red spots. Recently they

developed into a much larger area of these spots. Had a biopsy, they are

granulomas. Although the final results were mycobacterium chelonae. I had

further surgery to remove the entire area and I am taking 2 antibiotics large

doses, probably for 6mos. to a year. But the bottom line is I was told by the

docs that this is all part of the sarc and a single to me that I am having a

flair up but a suppressed immune system adds to diagnosis. Since the surgery I

have felt absolutely awful? The doc told me that the infection will show itself

as the antibiotics take effect. So now I have more spots and they are blistering.

What next???? The sarc is so damaging. Hope this helps in someway. Your sarc

friend Anne

Hi Anne, I have never had my lesions biopsied, Some of the new ones start out as a blister, then leave an ugly thick lesion, and sometimes it will just blister, especially if I am in the sun, the ones on my face and neck look like acne but are hard, then when the reddens goes down, it leaves a small raised lesion. I was hoping the Remicade would be helpful, but not so far, still holding out though.
