Guest guest
Hi Laurie, That's good news. Hopefully he'll do his homework too. Feel good. He says that all my tests are basically normal which was good news. He didn't know anything about mitochondrial disease, but was willing to listen and he didn't feel that I was too complicated to take on as a patient. That was good news. I have to have an echo, since it had been just over a year since the last one. With that and blood gases, I think I am done with tests for awhile - said with fingers crossed. laurie Medical advice, information, opinions, data and statements contained herein are not necessarily those of the list moderators. Guest guest
MUCH better news than one of the other docs you had an experience with before. Guest guest
Hi Laurie, I know you have a really good heart!! Isnt it wonderful to here a doc say that nothing is wrong, what a relief, and so good that he's not intimidated by the mito! Hope he does some research on mito so he can fully understand and take good care of you. Hugs Barb
Guest guest
Barbara Thanks. I took him the booklet on mito and he thumbed through it and thanked me, so I'm hoping he will be interested. He is fairly young, so he should have least heard the word mitochondria, unlike some of the older docs. laurie > Hi Laurie, I know you have a really good heart!! Guest guest
Glad to hear that the app't went well and that the dr seemed interested enough to learn!! I'm sure that you are glad to be done with testing for awhile. How is the new med working? > > Hi > > My cardiology appt. went well today. The doctor was nice and seemed to > cover all the basis. Guest guest
I get my meds mail-order, so don't have them yet - maybe today. I'll let the list know how it is going once on them. laurie > Glad to hear that the app't went well and that the dr seemed > interested enough to learn!! Guest guest
Hi Laurie, So happy to hear that your Cardiology appt. went well and that you like this new Dr. It is so hard to find a doctor who isn't afraid of Mito, or even to find one that will go the distance and read up on it. You mentioned that you need to have echo and blood gases done. I also get an echo done once a year. When you have your echo do they do blood gases during the test? Glad to hear the great news and that your heart is in good shape!! Hugs, Ann-Marie cardiology appt. Hi My cardiology appt. went well today. The doctor was nice and seemed to cover all the basis.
