Guest guest
Hello, my name is katie and i have a 15 month old son born with bilateral club feet. We actually just had his 2nd heel cord lenghening March 25. I just thought it would be nice to chat with other mothers that are going through the same thing. I know it was hard to be consistent with the shoes after 2 months of doing so well. Well I get online 2-3 times a day. It would be nice to hear what your storys are.I am in Phoenix, and so I didnt not have a clue on the ponseti mathod until my son was 4-5 months old. I luckily found a Doctor down on Tucson who is GREAT. thanks again
Guest guest
My son is only unilaterly clubfoot on his left foot. He's only 7months old and Feb 16th he had a heel cord legthening and a capsule release of his ankle joint. Before that he had been in his shoes for three months, but his foot wasn't fully corrected so we had to back track and do the heel cord surgery. He is now back in his shoes 23/7 and has an appointment on the 28th of this month. Hope you get the stories and info you want out of this board, I know it has helped me. Guest guest
Glad to have you here. My clubfooted son is now nine months old. He is right clubfoot and like you we didn't find a Ponseti doctor until he was 5 months old. So glad we did. He is currently in the FAB 23/7 and we have a month left until (hope and pray) we get our hours reduced. May 10th. The date is almost as magical as the end of a pregnancy. Thanks to all on this forum who know more than I do, we haven't chucked the brace across the room once. (I will not admit to being tempted, no never.) I do wish that it would slow him down just a bit so I can keep up with him. My hands are full with kids and such but it is great (I think). Better run, too many kids doing too many different thing for me to stay at the computer. My son too.... Hello, my name is katie and i have a 15 month old son born with bilateral club feet.
