Guest guest
I am seeking nominations for a new award that has been established by Hollywood, Health & Society(HH & S), a project of the USC Annenberg Norman Lear Center to recognize telenovelas that inform, educate and motivate viewers to make choices for healthier and safer lives. This award is part of a broader group of similar awards that are given to television daytime dramas and primetime dramas and comedies. This award program is funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the National Cancer Institute (NCI). Storylines must air in the United States between May 31, 2004 and May 31, 2005 but may have been produced outside of the U.S. The health theme must have been included in at least 6 episodes of the telenovela. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to encourage more telenovela producers to address safety and health themes and to recognize those that already have. If you would like to make a nomination please contact me directly and I will send you the formal nomination form. Thanks Sherry Sherry Baron, M.D., M.P.H.
