If i knew nobody would of called on me I would of blistered those asses good. I am not that big on spanking but i do think if they do something that is endangering someone, each other or themselves they should get it. They are in for the weekend except for a swimming class after school today. God Bless, Robin, NorthEastern, NY Age- 41 EDD- July 27th, 2004 IT'S A BOY!!!!!! Guest guest
I had to take Madisons barbies and her townhouse and stick it in a garbage bag and hide it in the garage because she would not pick it up when her and her friend were done with it, She said it was her friend that made the mess and not her, Well, she has it back but not for long, her room is a wreck and she has been warned as have the boys that they ahd better be cleaning these messes this weekend or they are gone. So they have had their warnings.. God Bless, Robin, NorthEastern, NY Age- 41 EDD- July 27th, 2004 IT'S A BOY!!!!!! Guest guest
Hi Robin, I have noticed with his ears are completely non-functional and he wants what he wants. He is 4.5 and just goes into freakout mode at times and several times I have gone into his room and taken every single toy away.......until he could behave. Now that's horrible for a kid....you would have thought I had beaten him the way he looked at me when all his toys were gone. Actually it was more punishment for me and hubby cause this kid has so many toys thanks to my mom.... Chrystal Wife to Jace - together 6 Years! Happy Mommy to - 4 Years Old! Jonas Due July 28, 2004! Guest guest
Hi Chrystal! I have to agree.. my parents did this to me ONCE when I was a kid.. my sister and I were very bad about keeping our toys picked up.. so one day when we came home from school.. every single toy, book, everything was gone from our room... Our parents had said all week they were going to do it - and they did.. and let me tell you.. that was the longest week of our lives..but, we sure as heck made sure to make our bed and put our toys and clothes away after that! In our house, it all belongs to Dad & me, and when anyone forgets this, there are repercussions. I have actually had to remove *everything* from my oldest daughter's room (age 10) once except for her bed and three changes of clothes (my pick). It really got her attention. She wasn't allowed to leave except for meals. I put a couple of books in there that she could read, and that was it. Another very effective thing I have used for her has been what I call a " Think Sheet " . It wouldn't work for kids who don't read or write. I've also got a Christian spin to it, but it could be modified easily to fit someone else's system. Basically there are about five or so questions: (1)What did I do wrong? (2)Who did I do wrong to? (3)What does God's Word say about this? (4)Who do I need to ask for forgiveness? (5)What should I do next time? ..... I have found this method to be *extremely* effective with my daughter because she has a tendency to act without thinking. This requires her to actually be accountable in her own mind. -- Kris Wood " Always end the name of your child with a vowel so that when you yell, the name will carry. Guest guest
Hi Kris! I really like your think sheet! I might just have to incorporate that one day!
