Guest guest
> I know exactly how you feel so dont feel bad. I think it goes away after a few weeks, at least it did for me. Im not totally unconcerned cause I think a relapse will always be in the back of my mind until she is completly out of the brace. But you know for me she was in such bad shape when i took her to dr.p that she would not crawl/stand and seeing how far she has come is what has helped. every now and then i do ask my dh " you think samantha is ok? " and he just smiles and tells me " of course she is just look at her. " I guess his reassurance is what helps me cope. Dont feel guilty after all you are her mom and its your job to worry about her. I would not want my daughter to go through all the casting again either. so hang in there and try to enjoy those precious hours out of the braces. and BL CF 12/16/03 > so as you know Grace was reduced to 16 hours last week... and i > couldn't be happier... but now i am finding myself constantly worried > about relapse... always looking at her feet while she stands and sits > and whatever.. almost like i never look any where else.. and when > she's just sitting there playing i feel like i should coax her to get > up and do something on her feet and not just sitting playing with a > toy.. i'm starting to feel a little crazy... i just don't want any set > backs since she was treated non ponseti for 13 months and had major > relapse issues... does any other parent worry overly about it or do i > need the help??!!! > and are there any suggestions to help me to stop worrying so much? > > mommy to Grace 12-03-03 BCF Dobb's Brace 16/
Guest guest
thanks michelle.... that really helps... luckily she is so tall... i can " walk " her around the house instead of picking her up... and she thinks that's pretty neat too... i don't even really have to bend over to hold her hands... and i am hoping she will start to see that her feet are for more than to look at... lol.... mommy to Grace 12-03-03 BCF Dobb's Brace 16/7 michelle andyandsamanthamom@...> wrote: > I know exactly how you feel so dont feel bad. Guest guest
I feel that way sometimes. was also treated by a non-Ponseti doctor and after having gone through so much to get his feet corrected I'm also worried about relapse. I think that's normal, but I just try not to think about it too much. and 11/10/03 bilateral cf dbb 16/7 > > so as you know Grace was reduced to 16 hours last week... and i > couldn't be happier... but now i am finding myself constantly worried > about relapse... always looking at her feet while she stands and sits > and whatever.. almost like i never look any where else.. and when > she's just sitting there playing i feel like i should coax her to get > up and do something on her feet and not just sitting playing with a > toy.. i'm starting to feel a little crazy... i just don't want any set > backs since she was treated non ponseti for 13 months and had major > relapse issues... does any other parent worry overly about it or do i > need the help??!!! > and are there any suggestions to help me to stop worrying so much? > > mommy to Grace 12-03-03 BCF Dobb's Brace 16/
