Guest guest
Thanks to the person who posted the info re fritos not being gf. That explains why my son had reduced his eating down to that one food :-(. When I gave him the news, he was strangely accepting of it, as if he knew on some level there was a problem with them. He will only eat breads and pudding-consistency foods, and has agreed to try commercial baby foods. I'm hoping if we can give him different flavors in a consistency he can tolerate, we'll be able to progress from there into " real food " . Also, he asked that we start making fruit and veggie breads again (which is how I've gotten fruit and veggies into him all these years, but he's not been able to tolerate them since going gf). So I think we're making some progress here. He's 10, and has never eaten much more than bread his whole life. After 2 1/2 months gf (he's been cow milk free since a little over a year when we realized he had an intolerance to it), he started expanding his eating habits to things that were room temperature or cool, and even eating things he didn't like much. Then he found fritos and refused to eat anything else for a couple weeks. Oh, and the bad news: dh was reading in _Science News_ that there is a new treatment for beef in the fight against e. coli. It includes a new spray product that will be used at the meat processing facility, and it is milk-based. :-( Lis

Guest guest
I called the Frito-Lay folks today at the 1-800 number and they told me the plain Fritos were okay GFCF but they did indicate that there might be some cross containants. They will send me a list of all their products that are GFCF if they are different then what is on GFCG website I will post. I'm new to the diet and learning alot. Thanks Jeneane > Dear listers, > > I didn't see the original post on this one. You mean Fritos are not > GFCF?????? Guest guest
Seems to be a cross-contamination issue.
