Guest guest
Olivia's going in on Tuesday to get 4-8 stainless steel crowns on her molars, we went over every option with the dentist and putting her under is the only way we can do it. Osteogenesis Imperfecta (brittle bone disease) is the main reason that she has to be put under, if she fights him her jaw can break or if we had to hold her down we could break her shoulder, arm, etc. The dentist was open to RSS and listened to what I had to say about fasting and hypo-g but passed it off to the anesthetist (sp). I had a 5 min argument with the booking lady as to why Olivia needed the anesthetic consult the day before surgery not the morning of surgery, well I finally got my way but I'm not sure if she understood the seriousness of it. My question is, if they won't admit her the night before (monday night) for an IV do I scrap the whole thing?? Olivia spills ketones almost every morning as it is and the booking lady wouldn't tell me what time Olivia is booked for, then with it being dental she can't eat for a while after. I will be bringing all of my RSS info from MAGIC with me but I was wondering if there is anything else that I can say or do that will help. Thanks!
