Guest guest
I do have to admit...I was never a fan of Elton as it reminded me of Elton , and I wasn't going to put a baby through that...but now it seems to have taken on a different meaning...probably because of the emotional attachment. But thanks for your input! - > personally I like the Georgia name...but I'm not big on Elton or for kids these days. BUT..this is only MY opinion. Is there a way you could take a part of his first or middle name and transform it into something more suited for a child? Just wondering. But ultimitaly it's something you have to like and you think your child will like growing up being called. > > Good luck and really sorry to hear about your loss! > > Sydney > 37 weeks with #4 > Naming Baby...... Guest guest
I am very partial to Georgia...My Dad is and Dave's middle name is as well...We have always had that near the top of our girl list - a sweet, not often heard name. For us, it would probably be Georgia (Dave's deceased sis is )... I think Elton is beautiful too... Of course, if Jr would stop hiding behind his/her umbilical cord, we would know for sure! lol.. Good luck with the names, Hugs, EDC Nov 10/04 > We are almost 1/2 way through and had difficultly picking out a boy's > name but had already decided on a girls...Avery . Guest guest
I like Elton wesley a lot. I really liked Avery for a girls name because it is unique so I still lean more to that name - What about Avery Georgia? Either way you will still be honoring him. - Diane > We are almost 1/2 way through and had difficultly picking out a boy's > name but had already decided on a girls...Avery . Guest guest
The names are fine and I wouldn't have a problem with either of them, but I would encourage you to wait a while before making a decision like this. You will want to make sure that they're names you'd actually want your kid growing up with, regardless of how wonderful your FIL was. I'm actually speaking as someone who named both her daughters after beloved grandmothers, so I'm obviously not against it! Just be sure it's not a decision based on the emotion you're presently feeling. -- Kris Wood " Always end the name of your child with a vowel so that when you yell, the name will carry. Guest guest
I LOVE Avery , i think that is a nice name for your baby girl. I say name what you like for your baby no matter what others think. I myself am naming my new baby after my brother too but am using his name as the middle name only. I was not too crazy about it as a first name so chose a first name I really liked and then added the middle. Like Avery Georgia but you will get alot of mixed opinions about names nowadays so choose what you and hubby like God Bless, Robin, NorthEastern, NY Age- 41 EDD- July 27th, 2004 IT'S A BOY!!!!!! Guest guest
There is always tte and Georganne for girls names. These were the names of twin girls that I went to school with and I always thought the names were unique and pretty, the girls were nice too so that was a plus. As far as Elton, my hubby and I kinda ran into a similar problem. We wanted to honor our grandmothers by using their names to name Hannah. Well my gram's name was Helen and I didn't exactly want that for Hannah's name so we used Glenn's Jewish tradition and just picked a name with the same first letter to honor my gram. Maybe this can be done for the " E " name, there are tons of nice boy " E " names out there. Axelrod Re: Naming Baby......
