All the books I have read (and I am a first time pregnant woman so I

live by these books) say that your waist line will expand first b/c

you uterus is stretching. You might not even have gained weight and

still have your pants tighter. I have actually lost one pound at 12

weeks and my pants are STILL tighter. Go figure. Good luck.
