It is my understanding that if enough brain cells are destroyed from a

SLE, then it will show up on an MRI. My mother showed scarring after a

SLE (which was probably not her first).

I haven't had a spect, but I believe it is an MRI with different

software that shows the brain chemistry rather than structure.
