Guest guest
This is very true, at least for me. I was told that healing is slow since it takes lots of energy to heal and we don't have much. Since the energy there is is going to the healing, mito symptoms get worse as the rest of the body gets even less. If my injury is minor, then I regain what I have lost symptomwise, but I had a severe rotator cuff injury and surgery and 18 months of therapy and never did regain what I lost. I think this was probably the 3.5 hours of surgery on top of the injury. The pain was intense which also saps cellular energy. I hope your back starts feeling better soon. laurie > Has anyone noticed that if you get hurt it takes longer to heal and > symptoms of the mito get worse? Guest guest
Backs are notoriously difficult to heal - did you get it dx'd, or just hurt it and are waiting for it to heal? Healing is somewhat different depending on the injury. For example, one could strain a muscle in the back, or damage a ligament associated with a disk, or blow out a disk (I did that, ouch!). My doctor said that I would have permanent debilitating damage if I didn't get the disk fixed, as scar tissue would cause more damage than the original injury. The only related issue in my case is that when my symptoms are bad, I tend to not " get sick " in terms of colds and sinus infections. When my symptoms seem under control, I tend to get sick more often with upper respiratory infections etc. I remember going for years without a cold or sinus infection, when normally I would have several a year. Take care, RH > > Has anyone noticed that if you get hurt it takes longer to heal and > symptoms of the mito get worse?
