Guest guest
Shayna, I had a hysterectomy in 1998. It was a relief for me. I had been having so much bleeding and pain. I haven't had much abdominal pain since. They took out my uterus, but left in my ovaries. It does take a while to recover. However, funny as it may seem, I recovered faster from that major surgery than I do from some of my pacer surgeries. The only real complication that happened. . .don't worry it is so weird that it could never happen to anyone else. I still shake my head in amazement when I think of it LOL. I had some pain after surgery. The dr said I had scar tissue. So we did a procedure to remove it. They did a biopsey as a matter of course. When I went for my follow up, my dr came in with the strangest look on his face. He handed me the pathology report and let me read it for myself. It wasn't scar tissue. It was my fallopian tubes! LOL They had grown out through my stitches. That day I finally convinced him that my picture really SHOULD be posted under 's Law. I swear I am NOT making this up. My imagination is just not that good! Joanne in California

Guest guest
Joanne, Have you ever had any signs of PTEN Hamartoma Tumor Syndrome -- previously known as Cowden Syndrome? The kind of odd growth you describe can happen with that. Don't want to alarm you though, because this dosorder is very rare. Might be worth checking into just in case.
