Guest guest
Hello Everyone, First of all I want to thank all of you for your support. I think this is the first time I just didn't know if I could deal with all that was going on for one more day. If it weren't for all of you I don't know what I would have done. I'm just letting you all know that Brady is doing much better. Friday night was the worst of the last 2 weeks. He was gagging so much and we couldn't do anything for him because the damn doctors around here never told me what I needed to get to vent Brady since he had the J-tube. I tryed doing everything that I could to vent him but nothing seemed to work. Brady's dad and I decided that enough was enough and the J-tube wasn't helping him any so we pulled it. A bunch of air came out of his belly as soon as the J-tube was out. We just put another mickey button in and started giving him the feedings. Saturday he wasn't being himself. He was just laying around moaning but Saturday night he snapped out of it and now we have our happy Brady back. I know that pulling the j-tube didn't solve the whole problem because he was also gagging without it and we got the j-tube because we thought the gagging would stop. This Friday Brady is going to the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh to have an Endoscope done to see if there is a problem that they can't see in the belly x-rays the milk swollow, and the upper GI. They are also going to be checking the hiatal hernia. I am a little scared about the endoscope because they have to put him under for that and Brady never did well with the anistetic. Hopefully he will be fine with it and won't have to stay in the hospital very long after the test is done.
