Guest guest
I had a completehysterectomy the week I turned 25, 6 months after my 2nd child. I had been through a laperotomy before my first child to get rid of as much endometriosis as was possible (wound up with a lot of reconstrucive work due to the extensiveness of the endo). I never stopped bleeding after my 2nd child, and a gyn wound up doing a DNC in the office.....and poked a hole in my still " spongy " uterus. The pain after surgery was not a problem because if I rested, the pain went away (unlike the tortuous years of noncyclical endo pain and rupturing cysts every month). Before my hyst. I would gain up to 11 pounds in fluid from the blood accumulating in my abdomen. I had 4 surgeries since, and each time they found pieces of ovarian tissue from the " exploding " cysts. Good luck on your surgery..... Lyn Marie Codier Early Childhood Music & Movement Specialist
