Guest guest
Well, Blue Diamond people answer their emails back much faster than Vance's DariFree people do. Here is the reply I received back from them today. Guest guest
This type of marking is on quite a few items. To be devoutly Kosher the person has to know that any product was not made on the same equipment as a dairy line, so that if they used this product, it should not be drunk with meat products. Unfortunately, there are quite a few products like that have a " D " or " DE " symbol on them. But this means that they might have possible cross-contamination issues like *many* of the products that we buy on this diet. But it doesn't mean that the product has dairy in it. I went through the same thing with & Sons Rice Crackers, because it had a " D " next to the Kosher symbol. However, these crackers (vegetable variety) are also touted as being " Vegan " , which by definition cannot contain ANY dairy product or derivative. So the bottom line is that you should always check to be sure, but the " D " or " DE " does not necessarily mean it's out. -a mom to Alec 7 (nt) and Billy 4 yo w/autism > Well, Blue Diamond people answer their emails back much faster than Vance's > DariFree people do.
