Guest guest
Hi everyone My name is and my husband and I had our third child in November of last year, a beautiful girl we named Berry. Berry was diagnosed as having clubfeet at our 20week scan, we then had regular scans that seemed to just frighten us even more rather than setting our minds at rest! Firstly we were told that she had severe club foot to both her feet, then she was diagnosed with having a sandal gap and finally a rocker bottom foot - all of which are indicators of chromosomal abnormalities. Thankfully we were blessedd and when Berry was born she only had unilateral talipes to her right foot. So much for scans and the doctor's interpretation, eh!? Still it was probably better to have been prepared for the worst. Berry was put into plaster at 2 days old, and continued sometimes daily instead of weekly, as she was continually pulling her feet inside the casts, until the end of March when she had her first DBB's. Her tenotomy was performed on the 19th February this year. So far so good with the DBB's in fact they are a complete godsend after the plaster casting which was turning into a very stressful experience for all concerned towards the end! Anyway this has turned into a very long introduction, but I look forward to joining you all, I'm sure you will be a constant source of information and hints and tips! Love and best wishes (and Berry)

Guest guest
Hello ! My son was also born in Nov., and we found out on u/s about his feet also. We had 4 u/s, and they always seemed to find something else to scare us! He turned out to be a happy little boy with a few problems, but luckily all seem to be fixable so far. Doctors just keep telling us he is writing his own book, so they aren't really sure what to make of him. Just wanted to say welcome. 11/19/04 bilateral clubfeet and some other thing! Guest guest
Hi Rach That's fabulous news! It's so nice to hear from those a little further down the line that things are going so well. I can't believe how well Berry's feet are looking already, I know it's a long road, but considering all the worry whilst pregnant, to think that they have managed so much so soon is amazing. Stay in touch if you can Best wishes --- " Rach " rach@...> wrote: Date: Fri, 29 Apr 2005 15:37:56 +0100 (GMT Daylight Time) To: nosurgery4clubfoot > Subject: Re: Hello I'm new!
