Hello,

I am brand new to this board, and am here to learn as much as I can

before I become pregnant. My fiance and I (getting married in

August) are hoping to get pregnant very soon after our wedding.

I had gastric bypass surgery 3 years ago, and plastic surgery (tummy

tuck/breast reduction) a year and a half ago. I lost 120% of my

excess weight, and at one point, a year ago, was considered

underweight. I am at a healthy weight now (130-135 lbs on my 5'6 "

frame).

One of the main reasons I got down so low is that I've had a lot of

trouble eating since my surgery. For some reason, I just can't seem

to eat much at one sitting. I still vomit fairly often (once every

week or two), not from overeating, but because the food " just doesn't

work. " Also, I've developed a problem with acid reflux since my

bypass surgery.

My fiance is very concerned about my nutrition now, and is especially

worried about what might happen during a pregnancy. He's concerned

about a baby, but even more concerned about my health. I try to tell

him that everything will be ok, but honestly, I'm a little worried

too. I have low blood pressure and sugar levels, and have been

anemic off and on.

Just wondering at this point, if there's any information out there

that I can share with Jim to relieve some of his anxiety. We are

going to meet with my gastric bypass surgeon next week, and an ob

soon thereafter. However, hearing from " those who've been there "

will be very helpful, I'm sure.

Thank you so much for your time and for any help you can provide.

Callie B (and Jim too) ~:o)
