Biopsy visit with Dr. Tarnopolsky

I had a good visit with Dr. Tarnopolsky and the folks at the " new "

neuromuscular clinic in McMaster (renovated and moved, very nice in there). He

took 2 biopsies, apparently one fresh and one to be frozen, for all sorts of

testing. He is definitely looking at mito now, having ruled out a lot of other

things. He discussed the possibility of the " normal " finding, said it is sadly

likely it will come back normal but stressed that simply means they haven't

found what i have yet. He was a breath of fresh air, and a joy after so many

docs saying " if the test is normal, you are normal " .

I have an appointment booked for Apr 4th, where I will hopefully get my

results.

Dr. T is great in person, from all accounts I've heard, besides being a

topnotch scientist. Hope you get some answers.

You can have a piece of my birthday cake while you recover. My birthday

is on the 4th. Anyway, what I really wanted to say was I was

glad you had a good appointment with Dr. Tarnopolsky and hope you get

some answers.
