How often have you had to lengthen the dbb to match the width of their

shoulders. I haven't changed it in a couple of months, but he seems

pretty comfortable or at least happy.

I'm assuming that would depend on how fast your child is growing. Aidan has

been wearing the shoes since December and we've had it lengthened twice and

about to have it moved again.

Agreed, it is all in how fast they grow. The width of the bar should

be about the same as his shoulders. If he seems comfortable and you

measure it occasionally to be sure it is not getting too narrow I'm

sure it is fine. We have also lengthened our bar twice since Dec. but

it doesn't look like he will need it longer again for a while.

it really does differ with each child... grace has had her FAB for 6 weeks and

has had it adjusted twice... but she went through a growth spurt also... if you

are using the markell shoes, you can really tell because their ankles will kind

of spill out over the edge... at least they did with grace.. and it became

uncomfortable for her.. and it kind of looked funny too... they measure the

inside edge of the heel to the shoulders i think...
