Guest guest
My son's doc does not want to prescribe Claritan Redi tabs for my son's nasal allergies because he is under the age of 6. He prescribed Zyrtec instead. I found a site on the internet that lists Zyrtec as gluten-free but I can find no info on it's casein status. I called Pfizer and can get no answer until tomorrow (hopefully). The doc went ahead and phoned in the scrip for the Zyrtec to the pharmacy but I won't fill it until I can get some answers. My son reacts also to egg, citrus, beans, banana, cantaloupe, peanut, soy, canola and green pepper as well. Is there a web site that lists ALL ingredients in a medication? Guest guest
This has probably already been answered but this is what Zyrtec has in it (By the way you should NOT use it, the product does have natural banana flavor). Cetrizine hydrochloride is the active ingredient, it comes in powder form. The inacitve ingredients are:banana flavor (natural),glacial acetic acid, glycerin, grape flavor (Natural),methylparaben, propylene glycol, propylpareben, sodium acetate, sugar syrup, and water. Hope this helps, that compound was for making the syrup by the way, let me know if you need tablet information. But his juices run clear (I always say that when referring to his drippy nose). For the cough I give him Del Sym. That has been excellent to help him be more comfortable. The way I also realize that is not a cold that he has and that he's not really " sick " is that by morning, the cough will be gone like 80%. That's too quick to be a sickness. He also does not get any fever associated with it. Me, I've been sick for 3 days now probably with a sinus infection. I take Tylenol Allergy/Sinus and it works great, but I can see the difference between what I have and what my son has. Sal's mom
Guest guest
, Out of curiousity and for future reference, is Del Sym a prescription or is it over the counter...do you know who makes it? Thanks Debbie(always looking for cough meds to keep handy) > In a message dated 5/6/01 2:46:58 PM Eastern Daylight Time, > debbiejusi@y... writes: > > > > > > , > > Same here, my oldest uses it with no probs, my youngest takes Atarx. > > > > Debbie > > > > > > > > > > > > Debbie, my son gets a dry hacking cough with allergies too.
