Guest guest
Chrystal, I am the (not so) proud owner of a minivan. I bought one last year because we had 3 kids and just fitting them in a regular vehicle became a pain in the hiney, much less breaking up fights when they were all sitting in one spot. I just couldn't see spending 40,000 on an SUV at that point (which I would rather have like you) so I went the next best route. I studied and studied and studied minivans. Believe it or not, dollar for dollar, feature for feature we ended up buying a Kia. It drives great, has a better warranty and comparably equipped it was 10,000 cheaper than a Ford, Chrysler or Toyota, one of which would have been my next choice -- probably Ford since my husband works for them. I wish now that I had gone ahead and gotten the leather and sunroof package for a minimum amount of upcharge, but other than that I have never been as totally satisfied with a vehicle. Even the sound system is great (I'm still a rockin momma LOL). I sure am glad I ended up with a minivan, though, because I never would have guessed I would be having #4 coming in 6 weeks and how would I have fit ALL of them in my regular sized vehicle??? Good luck, let us know what you decide on. Guest guest
I have a ford winsatr that has been very good to me. I bought it 4 years used but new to meand I love it. They do have ssoo many nice new ones out there now though. I would check them all out and see but make sure to ask about their safety ratings, thats the part I look for first and that is why I love my windstar so much. Guest guest
We just got a new town & country minivan from chrysler and love it!! It has all the bells and whistles, and it is so nice having the power sliding doors. It makes it so easier to put our 3 year old in his booster seat, no bending over and stretching to get him in. Good luck in your search! Pam 10 year old daughter 3 year old son and hoping for #3 soon!
Guest guest
Well, we love our 2004 Pontiac Montana. Not only is it really nice on the inside (including middle row bucket seats that are seperated from each other, two sliding doors...one power but there was an option to have the other power, extended wheel base, 50/50 split back row, DVD entertainment system, Onstar (we feel this is a wonderful feature to have since our cell phones don't have signal very often out where we live) and automatic load leveling (for towing) but also the exterior is two tone in color with ground effects that just make it look so much more sporty than your normal mini-van. We've also noticed with the Pontiac Montana and Chevy Venture that they seem to have more trunk room because the minivan doesn't slope so much at the back...so there is more height to it. Anyway..just our families opinion. We leased a Chevy Venture about four or five years ago and just loved it. And these vans have REALLY nice interior fabric. Not cheap like some of the others we've seen. We actually opted for fabric over leather because we love them so much. After owning that van, at the end of our lease I agreed to the Chevy Trailblazer (because it was kind of like a mini van...three rows of seats) but also had SUV/truck features that dh was hoping for. I wasn't thrilled with it. Liked the freedom of movement from each row MUCH better in the vans and also that the middle row had seats that were split apart. Nice for when you have a 12 yr old, 8 yr old and 6 yr old who need some space for themselves. Baby will take up one of the middle row seats soon (once he's here..) and our 8 yr old will take up shop in the back row with our oldest. Sydney Who will have another baby boy by Wednesday when induction date is set...if I don't have him before! Re: Minivan shopping We just got a new town & country minivan from chrysler and love it!!
