Guest guest
Hi All, As most of you know from my previous post I was fighting the minivan kicking and screaming. I had pretty much decided I wanted a Pontiac Montana because they are the most stylish on the outside and had most of the features I wanted. Well I didn't buy that....... They happened to have a used Chevy Venture on the lot that had been turned in from a business and it was in perfect condition with super low miles and super cheap money. My hubby wanted to look at it at least and I said okay....I hate the upholstery it looks similar to airline seats......but that's the only thing I hate about this car. It has everything and did I mention cheap money.....? It has automatic sliding doors and 4 captains chairs that I wanted......and a whole bunch of other bells and whistles that my hubby understadnds and I appreciate. I was happy it has front and rear AC and a cd player and a cassette player. Hubby went through the engine with a fine tooth comb, climbed underneath, drove up and down the highway super fast and all through town and basically did donuts to see what was wrong with it since they offered it at such cheap money.....since he is our resident auto mechanic I trust him completely. It has been serviced regularly and they had all the records for that. So now the baby can arrive and my parents can descend upon us and we will all be able to ride in one vehicle..... Hubby is excited about going to the drive in movies or all the garage sale/flea market junk he can toss inside.....I am just happy my 140 pound german shepherd can have a comfortable couch to lay on in the back seat....our mid size dog doesn't care where she is as long as she is in the car.... So we are going to keep my Xterra and hubby will drive it....I know he will have it looking like a junkbox in a few days......Uggh ( shakes head - cause I like my car clean!!!) I didn't end up with what I thought I was going to be getting......but I am thrilled with the price and I know I can buy some super stylish cute seat covers....I like the pink ones that say princess or these super cool ones with flames on them.... wants the sponge bob ones......uggh! I also found a great sticker on ebay that has tinkerbell on it and says How Does It Feel To Be Passed By A Girl......that will go on the back.....and of course my ever faithful Donate Blood Play Hockey Sticker...... This should distinguish my van from all the others..... Oh I forgot its white with super dark tinted windows.... Thanks to all for the advice on the minivans.....Now hubby will be going back to buy a truck. Since we have been living in a constant state of construction on our wacky church house we decided while minivan shopping that we really should get a truck....so he can do that by himself. I have no desire to step on a car lot for a few years at least.... Chrystal Wife to Jace - together 6 Years! Happy Mommy to - 4 Years Old! Jonas Due July 28, 2004!
